Case #43751: This is a post-massive weight loss body contouring case for a 28-year-old woman who had significant excess abdominal skin, stretch marks, and a sagging mons pubis due to a nearly 100 lb. weight loss. An abdominoplasty combined with a monsplasty were done to address the redundant tissue. The abdominoplasty removed the hanging skin and the monsplasty lifted and repositioned the pubic area, decreasing the fullness in the underwear. The mons pubis commonly sags after substantial weight loss. At five months post-op, the after photo shows a flat abdominal contour with the low horizontal scar that can be covered in the underwear line. If you are post weight loss and your weight has been stable for at least 6 months, you may be a candidate for body contouring procedures for the affected areas.
