Case #46089: This is a gynecomastia case performed on a male in his mid 20's. The before photo, taken just prior to surgery, shows visible glandular tissue behind both nipple areas. Gynecomastia surgery addresses excess breast tissue in men, and in a patient with grade I gynecomastia, the glandular component is sits right behind the areola as a somewhat firm mass. The after photo shows the chest with that tissue removed, and the nipple-areola contour sits flatter against the chest wall. The scars, now starting to mature, will hide around the areolae when the scars are fully mature, which takes about a year after surgery.
